A comfortable routine: Something that puts me in a better frame of mind, a place where I feel good.

Doing anything outside puts me in a better place. My garden is my sanctuary. There I am in my own world. Walking with the dogs , kids, or just by myself. Just like when I am knitting, walking is my meditation. It clears the head in more ways then one. There is that sense of complete freedom when I am out there. In the winter we get to walk on the frozen lake, ( I tell everyone it's the only time I get to " walk on water". And wow what a feeling. Nobody around you.
And my routine of feeding the birds gives me hours of pleasure. The feeder is right outside my front window. To watch and listen is a nice way to start the day.

When the walls start closing in, I'm outa here.

I hope you enjoy my pictures.
(and if you can believe it that picture of my son & the dogs was taken in Oct.
the fall here was beautiful) its also the day we came across 2 deer right behind our house.
by the time I ran back to get the camera they were in hiding. So now the camera comes with me on every walk.

My dh totally agrees with you; he's an outdoors guy too. I believe he uses the "meditation" too. :)

I'm right there with you! There's nothing like getting outside and breathing in the fresh air. We're getting back into cross country skiing. Its been so nice to get outside and keep warm =)

So beautifully written. Love the pictures. And yes, for me, walking is my meditation. I love, love walking in nature.

Beautiful pictures!!! I also love being outdoors. I get major cabin fever if I am cooped up inside for more than a few days.
